Gethsemane Baptist Church

Faith is in a partner relationship with Gethsemane, a church across the border, in Nogales, Mexico, seeking to share the Gospel in an area of great poverty along the western edges of Nogales.  Short term teams from Faith visit several times a year to assist with construction and outreach.  Our next construction and outreach is planned for April 14-15, 2010.  For information, contact the church office.

Thunderbird International Friends

Welcome Partners is a hospitality ministry for the international students at the Garvin Thunderbird Graduate School in Glendale.  Christians in the northwest valley have the opportunity to be hosts that befriend a student or family while they are here for a year or two. For more information go to www.thunderbirdinternationalfriends.org.

Refugee Resettlement Support
The Missions Team of FBC, in response to God's call to care for the marginalized in our world, has partnered in the past with Lutheran Social Services to relocate the Rijal family in Phoenix.  We are currently beginning a new partnership for a new, as yet unknown family, with Lutheran Social Services.  We expect to resettle a new family sometime during the summer of 2010.   Check back to view any particular needs during the summer of 2010.

Short Term Mission Trips

In addition to the trips to Mexico, trips are planned each year to India and Africa to assist with evangelism, church planting and relief ministries.  High school and college age youth are encouraged and supported for summer mission trips.  Our next trip is to Mexico in April, 2010, and is referenced above.
