At FBC, we believe that the church is God’s people, saved by God’s power, for God’s purposes. We emphasize the importance of living everyday life with gospel intentionality—purposely living out the good news of Jesus in word and deed. We encourage people to see all of life as countless opportunities for evangelism and discipleship, happening over coffee and meals, in the workplace, at the gym, in our neighborhoods. We seek to live our lives as God’s servant ambassadors, sent by Jesus to show the world what God is like, beautifully demonstrated in Jesus-centered community. As we often say here, “We want to help people find and follow Jesus!”
Several weeks ago we preached through our FBC Essentialsseries where we highlighted four key pillars that form our strategy on how we are helping people find and follow Jesus. Do you remember them?
Gather, Grow, Give, Go.
Super easy to remember, right?
If you haven’t heard our FBC Essentials series, I’d encourage you to go back and take a listen (you can listen to sermon series through our FBC website or on Apple Podcasts or Spotify –search “Faith Bible Church”).
In addition, you can also tune in to our podcast, Forward by Faith, where we’ll take the next four weeks to discuss our strategy in making disciples.
“Wait, you have a podcast?”
“Yes, we do!”
You can listen directly on your FBC app, through our website, or through Apple Podcasts and Spotify (again, search for Faith Bible Church).
This week on the podcast we’ll talk further on what it means for FBC to be a people who Gather in authentic community.
We believe that our gathered life is essential to our effectiveness in the Christian life. When we are saved, we are saved not only into a new relationship with God but into a new relationship with others in his family. It’s a big deal. It’s central to who we are and who we want to be as a church.
Want to hear more? Take a listen to Forward by Faith this week and let us know your thoughts.
Praying for you FBC Family!
